Equipment calibration history retained for the life of the instrument, with documented evidence of recurring calibration and any corrective actions when results fall outside spec.
Calibration module
Calibration tracking software built for accredited laboratories
Stop chasing calibration spreadsheets and shared drives. CalibDue gives every instrument its own schedule, fires reminders before things go overdue, stores every certificate, and exports an audit-ready calibration register in one click — formatted for ISO 15189, CAP, CLIA, or UKAS.

What is calibration tracking software for labs?
Lab calibration tracking software replaces the spreadsheets, paper logs, and ad-hoc reminders most labs rely on to keep instruments within their certified accuracy. Accreditation bodies (ISO 15189, CAP, CLIA, UKAS) all require documented calibration history per instrument, with certificates retained for the life of the equipment and evidence that overdue calibrations are detected and resolved.
CalibDue centralises every instrument in one register, schedules calibration cycles, sends pre-due and on-overdue reminders, captures the calibration event with technician attribution, and stores the resulting certificate (uploaded or generated from a branded template). When an auditor asks for a five-year calibration history on a specific analyser, you click one button.
What CalibDue's Calibration module does
- Multiple calibration tracks per instrument (e.g. pressure test + temperature calibration on a single analyser)
- Automatic status: current, due soon, or overdue — recalculated as dates pass
- Email reminders 30, 7, and 1 day before due, plus an on-overdue alert
- Per-event logging with date, result (pass/fail), technician, and notes
- Certificate storage: upload PDFs or generate branded certificates with sequential numbering
- Reusable certificate templates with lab branding, signature blocks, and three layouts
- Signed 15-minute download URLs for every certificate — no permanent open file exposure
- One-click PDF audit register filtered by date range, equipment, or status
- Full per-instrument calibration history retained for the life of the equipment
- Role-based access: admins configure, technicians log, viewers audit-trail only
Built for your accreditation standard
The Calibration module enforces the right rules per standard automatically. Switch standards per lab; the rules switch with you.
Calibration certificates linked to the device's full performance record. Overdue calibrations flagged before they can compromise patient results.
Calibration documentation tied to each test system and traceable from a sample result back to the calibration that was in effect at the time.
ISO 15189-aligned calibration evidence with checksummed file versions and configurable review windows that respect UKAS minimums.

FAQ
Common questions about calibration
How does CalibDue calculate calibration due dates?
Each calibration track on an instrument has a configurable interval (days). When you log a calibration, the next-due date is set to the calibration date plus the interval. Status is then computed automatically: current (more than the warning window away), due soon (within the warning window), or overdue (past the due date). Statuses recalculate as time passes — no manual updates needed.
Can a single instrument have more than one calibration schedule?
Yes. Many instruments need multiple types of calibration — e.g. a balance might need both a routine calibration and an annual certification, or an analyser might need separate temperature and pressure checks. CalibDue lets you define multiple tracks per equipment item, each with its own interval, technician assignment, and certificate template.
Does CalibDue generate calibration certificates, or only store them?
Both. You can upload PDFs from third-party calibration providers and retain them with the instrument's history, or use the built-in certificate generator: create reusable templates with your lab branding, accreditation statement, signature blocks, and three layouts (standard, compact, detailed). Each generated certificate gets a sequential number that resets annually, and regeneration preserves the original in the audit trail.
How are calibration reminders delivered?
By email, to the technician assigned to the calibration track and (optionally) the lab admin. Reminders fire 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before the due date, plus an on-overdue alert. Each user can override the lab default in their notification settings — useful for high-volume technicians who want less noise. Every reminder sent is logged in the database for audit purposes.
Can I export a calibration register for an auditor?
Yes — one click. The Calibration Audit Export PDF includes every instrument in the register with its identifier, location, calibration history, current status, and next-due date, filtered by date range or equipment subset. It's formatted to match what CAP, ISO 15189, CLIA, and UKAS auditors expect to see.
